Outfit have unveiled a stunning new film for current single “Framed.” Premiered today by The Guardian – it was directed by Sam and Andrew of Studio Zongo. “For us, “Framed” encapsulates Outfit’s identity and sound,” they explain. “Our aim was to visually reflect the bittersweet melancholy of the track, exploring the idea of different ‘versions’ of a person.”
The song “Framed,” a mainstay of BBC Radio 6 Music’s playlist for several weeks, is the centrepiece of new album Slowness, released last month on Memphis Industries. “It’s about a dream where you see the person you love living another life, an alternate reality without you in it,” says the band’s Andrew P. Hunt. “You’re walking down the street and you look through a window and see them surrounded by other things, other people and suddenly they’re different and you’re different. It’s about something uncanny completely flipping your perspective.”
